FAQs
When should I book?
Milestone Sessions can be scheduled at any time during baby's first year, but we recommend scheduling around major milestones, like when baby can support himself or herself on their tummy - “Tummy session” (around 3 to 4 months), and when they're able to sit up on their own - “Sitter session” (around 6 to 9 months), “Cake smash” session at 12 months to celebrate your child’s first birthday.
What Cake smash themes can you provide?
I have a number of absolutely wonderful backgrounds in my Rouse Hill studio suitable for girls and boys cake smashes. Please find the examples at the bottom of the page.
WHAT MAKES A MILESTONE SESSION EXPERIENCE WITH BLINK OF LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY SO UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT?
It’s very simple, my attention to all the details. I am not a photographer consumed with mentoring of other photographers nor a high-volume photographer. I will not be squeezing and rushing you in between sessions. Your day is your day, I do not book families back to back. Please be sure that when you are on my schedule, your day is only yours. You will have my time, I will not be rushed due to a session being after or before yours. I am available to you to discuss outfits, colors, props, scenes, concepts and ideas.
What precautions are you taking with regards to Covid-19?
With new health risks posed in 2020, studio hygiene standards have increased from what was already maintained in months previously. Studio policies are as follows:
Upon arrival to my home studio, shoes must be taken off and kept outdoors. No shoes are permitted inside the studio.
When coming into the studio, you will be asked to sanitise your hands, or if you wish to wash your hands with soap, my bathroom is near by for you to use. Hand sanitiser will be on offer throughout the session.
No props from outside of my studio are to be brought into my studio.
As I have always done, props, wraps, and anything that a baby or family touches will be sanitised before and after a session.
If I feel anytime during the session that anyone who has entered the studio is showing any signs of sickness, will be asked to leave. It is upon good faith that you will let me know that you or any of your children are sick and that you would like to postpone your session.
Anything Covid related prevents the shoot going ahead the deposit will turn into store credit with no expiry date for a future shoot.
All studio sessions are scheduled 24 hours apart.
